I was living at Campus Irena and now in Residence Evaya. So far I have had nothing but positive relations with the administration at Immo Eckelmans, so I can wholeheartedly recommend using their services.

When we were renting an apartment here, we had to ask the KUL student housing service to check if the water bills were ok. The bills were fine, but the housing service found out that every tenant was charged 10 euro extra (not on water, on something else, and we didn't even notice this). Money was returned, but there was no explanation, and they might have tricked us on purpose.
A good idea might be to ask for such an external audit from time to time.

Avoid staying here at all costs. I would rather stay in Brussels and take train rather than staying here.
1) The building is very old and looks like a USSR type of building
2) Rooms are dark and unlivable
3) One person rooms are way overpriced. For 550 euro you can stay in city center

Good studio, very good price/quality. Every problem I had was solved very well and fast. One time I emailed for the shower that didn’t work well anymore and it was fixed the next day.

Lockers are defect. Water draining is slow. Bugs everywhere from toilet to the refrigerator and bed.
More importantly, staffs are impolite and even shout at tenants.
I never recommend campus Irena to international students.
They have many reasons for deducting the deposit under the name "dirty" when you are about to check-out.
They never inform you when they come into your room.
The studio used up all my fry traps in a week, and I have no idea where the bugs are coming from.
It costs 485 euro per month for bugs. Great.
